WordPress – Set Icon of your Site Blog

WordPress Icon or Favicon is a icon which appears on the title of your Website in the browser’s tab.

Now choosing a right icon is necessary according to your site’s niche, so choose it wisely. In this post we will see how we can add a WordPress icon or favicon for your blog.

We will be using a sample icon from iconfinder.com.

Use a 512 x 512 size icon preferably as it is the recommended size standard by WordPress.

1. Login with your Admin Credentials of your WordPress Site/Blog.

2. Open Appearance > Customize option from the left hand side options in your admin panel’s dashboard.

Customization options of your site will open up.

3. Select Site Identity >> You will get option of Site Icon at last under this option.

4. Select a 512 x 512 image from the  Media Library option.

 

Select your Site Icon – WordPress Change site Favicon Icon

Press Select. And Done. Save it.

Refresh your page now to see your select image as your WordPress site icon favicon.
